A Foolish New Day

Good evening everyone! It is now April 1st, 2026: April Fool’s Day.

I’ve made so many attempts at starting this website, yet today I make the promise to myself to keep going, no matter what. I will publish posts weekly on Fridays. While my eventual goal is to publish full articles, argumentative essays, webcomics, photos, videos, and other forms of art, this site at its core is a blog.

While some content will be safe for all audiences, please understand that I will be discussing topics and themes that will include adult content such as violence, vulgar language, sexual innuendo, etc. Do not expect this to be a blog safe for kids.

No, I don’t currently have a shop or a Patreon account. I do eventually want to set up an online shop, but not until I’ve experimented enough with this site, my style, and my personal projects to build a brand that I would be comfortable buying, let alone selling. Right now, this company is just me. Maybe we’ll expand later, but until then, this business is helping me grow as a person and an artist. That is the priority, and I hope you’ll find this journey an enjoyable experience.

To kick things off, I wanted to share a story about an old site called ThinkGeek. They were eventually acquired by GameStop, but back in the day they would sell all sorts of nerdy merchandise and tech. Every year on April 1st, the company would post several “fake” products as if they were legitimate products. When people went to add the product to their cart, they would receive an alert that the product was not real. It was a fun gimmick, but one thing I loved was that the company would then take suggestions on whether or not you would be willing to buy the real thing. It was a fun means of engaging with customers to seek out new products for sale. In that same vein, I hope to begin doing something similar if I set up an online store by April 1st, 2027. We’ll see! It’s a whole year away; anything could happen.

I love to plan ahead, but I don’t always go beyond the initial plan. That said, I’ve hammered out a plan of attack for this month, and I will be updating on Fridays with the following items:

Friday 4/3/2026:

We will dive into my various current interests, beloved hobbies and genres, and what forms of media I’m currently absorbing. This will mostly be a random ramble of all my faves. Maybe you’ll find something you enjoy here, too!

Friday 4/10/2026:

I will share some stories of my favorite webcomics over the years, some that I fell out of love with, some that I forgot about, and others that I still read with frequency. It’ll be a good segue into sharing what my own plans are for the various webcomics I’m penning. I haven’t yet done much drawing, so the artwork will be crap. Yet that same reason is why I’m 38 and haven’t created any finished works at this time. So…no more excuses. Just doing. I can always clean it up later.

Friday 4/17/2026:

Last year, I took a trip to Europe and enjoyed a cruise with a dear friend of mine. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite photos and stories while I can still find them.

Friday 4/24/2026:

This year, I got to enjoy my dream vacation: a trip to Japan with my best friends! This has been at the top of my bucket list since I was in High School. Well, that’s when I first started planning the trip, anyway. 20 years of prep, and we still only got through a fraction of all the wonderful opportunities we wanted to see! I can’t wait to go back, and I’m looking forward to sharing some stories and vacation ideas.
